2020/2021 Season

“Don’t stop dreaming just because you had a nightmare.”

Some days it’s hard to remember that the bigger picture and the long game are more important than what’s in the now, and this is definitely one of them.

Days like these I have to remind myself that this is one of the things that this team runs for. The dreams and goals that feel so far away it’s like looking at the stars. Maybe they’re as far away as they feel, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t within reach, or that it isn’t worth it to try. You have to work for them, and work hard. Even if you do, hard work is never a guarantee that it will happen or that you’ll make it. But four years ago I didn’t think I would be anywhere near where I am today. Not even close.

So the picture isn’t always clear. Sometimes it’s a bit fuzzy, and sometimes I think it’s changing, but one thing remains true;
It’s worth it.

This season we aren’t racing. The last of our races was officially canceled this week. It’s definitely disappointing, but I’m very grateful to be able to run my dogs and spend time on the trail with them regardless of whether or not we’re training to race. They’re the reason I’m doing this, and to my dogs I owe everything.
This season isn’t a bust; far from it!
I have faith in things happening as they should, which doesn’t mean you’ll always appreciate the way they’re happening. It doesn’t look like I expected it too, but it’s still a step forward. I’m working now to gain the experience to competitively race the team I will have several years down the road. And I’m gaining that experience both on and off the race trail.

If all goes as planned, in a few short months we’ll be welcoming a new generation to the team, something I’ve been waiting for for a long time. It’s the right moment, and I can’t wait to begin this next chapter!

Thank you all so much for your amazing support and contributions to the team!
Even though we aren’t racing this year, we are using this season as a chance to take a breath, regroup, and get everything in order for next season, so we’ll be even more prepared to hit the race trail strong!

Our sponsors have been wonderful through this incredibly rocky season, and we couldn’t do it without them! Please take a moment to follow them and show your support! These are truly stand up wonderful people that have shown me how much they care for this team. Thank you all for everything you do for us.
